The plague of plagiarism

Maureen Dowd, one of my favourite writers during the Iraq War, falls foul of the failure to attribute well-turned - even if unremarkable - phrases. More here from Regret the Error (compare here). Meanwhile, the Guardian on the same subject wrongly attributes a quote from a different blogger to the blogger in question. And then when it backtracks, offers no explanation.
